The NL East leading Mets came to visit Camden Yards for a mid-week two-game set that was split with one win by each team. In both games, the victor scored at least 10 runs, with the Mets scoring 14 in their win Wednesday night. These two games looked like football scores!
For the second time this season, the Mets and Orioles will face off in inter-league play. In the first two games this season, the Mets got the better of the Orioles, winning both of those games, one on a walk-off in the ninth inning.
Finally, the Orioles played someone in the A.L. East other than the Red Sox or Yankees. The Tampa Bay Rays came to town for a three-game set, their first three meetings this season.
The Orioles paid a visit to beautiful Citi Field in New York, as the O’s and Mets took part in a short two-game interleague series, one that featured a fantastic pitcher’s duel in game one and the return of “The Dark Knight” to his old stomping grounds in game two.
The Orioles had a chance to break even after a successful road trip. However, the Boston Red Sox and their A.L.-East-leading record stood in the way in this four-game home stand for the Birds.

The Orioles headed into Miami this week in search of their first back-to-back series wins of the season. Unfortunately, they were unable to win the series, instead splitting it one game a piece.
