A day after the announcement that Grayson Rodriguez would make the jump from High-A Aberdeen to Double-A Bowie, it has been announced that another member of that IronBirds team will join him. This time it is shortstop prospect Joseph Ortiz, according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko.
Finally, some good news! In an appearance on 105.7 The Fan Friday morning, Orioles GM Mike Elias announced that Grayson Rodriguez, the organization’s No. 2 prospect, will make the jump from High-A Aberdeen to Double-A Bowie for his next start.

The Aberdeen IronBirds kicked off their 2021 season on May 4, 2021, their first game since September 2, 2019. Then a part of the shortened season NY-Pen League, the IronBirds now are the Orioles’ Single-A affiliate and feature a plethora of what could be future studs in their roster.
