After an abysmal three games in Detroit, the Baltimore Orioles travel back to Camden Yards to take on the red hot New York Yankees.
New York comes in at 25-9 and looks like they are the best team in the league by far. The Orioles are still without Austin Hays and Ryan Mountcastle, which has already proved to be a huge losses.
The lineup will also be without Jorge Mateo, who was involved in a hard collision with Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson in the last series.
Kyle Bradish starts this series for the O’s, after delivering an absolute gem his last time out. He looks to follow that 11-strikeout performance with another quality start.
He will be followed by Spenser Watkins in game two and Jordan Lyles in game three, with Bruce Zimmermann finishing this series off in game four.
Pitching for the Yankees will be Luis Severino in game one, followed by Jameson Taillon, Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery.
The pitching will have to be on point in this series, which it has been at home so far. Against this Yankee lineup, especially as hot as they are right now, giving up too many runs early will make this a very hard series to watch.
The bullpen will play a big part in that pitching success, pending if the starters can deliver quality outings. If the bullpen can be well-rested in these four games and allow Hyde to use the best arm for the situation, the offense will be left in a position where they can win three games.
The Baltimore Battery’s ❌-Factor in this one is Cedric Mullins. Mullins was nearly non-existent in the last series, and with so much of the lineup being hurt right now, it falls on his shoulders to be the leader in an attempt to keep pace with that of the Yankees.
This series kicks off a seven-game homestand, where the Orioles really need to bounce back from their last series.
Game one starts at 7:05 p.m. EST, and you can catch each game on MASN or on your local OriolescRadio Network station.
