The 2026 Minor League Baseball season has come to an end, which means it is time to discuss the award winners throughout the Baltimore Orioles farm system.
Several O’s top prospects took home awards this season. With plenty of young talent making noise throughout the system, there is definitely a lot to celebrate.
Let’s discuss this year’s award winners.

Brooks Robinson MiLB Player of the Year: Wehiwa Aloy
Given to the best minor-league position player in the Orioles organization, former Golden Spikes winner and first-round pick Wehiwa Aloy is your 2026 Brooks Robinson MiLB Player of the Year.
Aloy had a stellar rookie season, spending time between both High-A Frederick and Double-A Chesapeake. The Baltimore Battery’s No. 1 overall prospect slashed a combined .288/.358/.506 with a .864 OPS, and in 123 games, he collected 136 hits, 20 doubles, four triples and 25 home runs. Aloy also drove in 92 runs while stealing 20 bases in 23 attempts.
Aloy has blossomed into a legitimate offensive threat while also providing top-tier defense at shortstop. He has all the potential to be a five-tool player and could be a major part of the Orioles’ future infield.
Jim Palmer MiLB Pitcher of the Year: Joseph Dzierwa
In his first full professional season, Joseph Dzierwa, The Battery’s No. 4 prospect, brought home plenty of hardware. One of those honors was the 2026 Jim Palmer MiLB Pitcher of the Year Award. Dzierwa was also named to the 2026 Eastern League All-Star Team and is nominated for the MiLB Pitching Prospect of the Year Award.
During his time with Frederick and Chesapeake, Dzierwa established himself as an ace from his first start of the year. He posted a 2.27 ERA across 26 games, including 24 starts, and pitched 131 innings, allowing just 88 hits and 33 earned runs while walking 30 batters and striking out 149. He also held opposing hitters to a .186 batting average and posted a 0.90 WHIP.
Dzierwa, a former second-round pick, has quickly developed into a potential future top-of-the-rotation arm for the Orioles.
Cal Ripken Sr. Player Development Award: Collin Woody
After the Frederick Keys returned to the Orioles organization this past offseason, the club named Collin Woody as the 28th manager in franchise history.
Woody is an Orioles historian of sorts. He was drafted by the organization in 2016, played in the minor leagues and never really left. He managed the Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds in 2024 and 2025 before taking over the Keys.
This season, Woody led Frederick to both the First and Second-Half League Championships, earning him the Cal Ripken Sr. Player Development Award. Woody was also named the South Atlantic League Manager of the Year.
Eastern League Pitcher of the Year: Anthony Eyanson
Right-hander Anthony Eyanson was acquired by the Orioles at this year’s trade deadline, and he is already bringing home some hardware.
The Battery’s No. 3-ranked prospect was named to the Eastern League All-Star Team and was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year. He is also nominated for the MiLB Debut of the Year Award and, alongside his teammate Joseph Dzierwa, is nominated for the Pitching Prospect of the Year Award.
Eyanson had an outstanding season in the Eastern League between the Portland Sea Dogs and Chesapeake Baysox. While he posted a 1.54 ERA for the entire season, Eyanson finished with a 1.82 ERA across 79 innings in the Eastern League and held opposing hitters to a .175 batting average, allowing just 17 earned runs, walking 35 batters and striking out 141.
All-Stars
The final part of this article is a celebration of the All-Stars from their respective leagues.
In the Eastern League, catcher Ethan Anderson and left-hander Micah Ashman joined Dzierwa and Eyanson on the All-Star team.
While with the Baysox, Anderson, The Battery’s No. 17 prospect, posted a .271 batting average and .881 OPS while hitting 21 home runs. On the mound, Ashman was one of the best relievers in the Baysox bullpen. He posted a 1.79 ERA across 36 appearances, including five saves and seven holds.
Outfielder Enddy Azocar and left-hander Braeden Sloan were both named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team.
Azocar was named for his time with Greenville, but after joining the Keys, he hit .327 and carried a .901 OPS. Across the entire SAL season, The Battery’s No. 5 prospect collected 90 hits, 20 doubles, five triples and 15 home runs.
Sloan, in his first season in the organization, is somebody to watch as a potential quick riser through the system. He pitched in 33 games with the Keys and posted a 1.55 ERA across 46.1 innings. He walked just 19 batters, struck out 60 and held opposing hitters to a .142 batting average.
