With pitchers and catchers reporting in nine days, the Baltimore Orioles have unveiled their final piece of spring training business: the 2026 non-roster invitees.
The group features a mix of high-end prospects, depth pieces and experienced big leaguers looking to reestablish their value.
In total, 30 players received invitations despite not currently occupying spots on the 40-man roster.
Let’s take a lot at those invited to spring training this season.
PITCHERS: 15
Baltimore invited 15 pitchers, including four from its top-30 prospects list: Trey Gibson (No. 9), Nestor German (No. 11), Luis De León (No. 18) and Levi Wells (No. 19). That quartet averaged 128 strikeouts last season, with Gibson earning the 2025 Jim Palmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year award.
Albert Suárez also joins the group after appearing in just five games last season due to shoulder and elbow injuries. Among the non-top-30 arms, Cameron Weston remains a potential back-end starter or multi-inning reliever, while Keegan Gillies continues to project as a future late-inning option.
Invited pitchers:
Jeisson Cabrera, Hans Crouse, Luis De León, Nestor German, Trey Gibson, Keegan Gillies, Richard Guasch, Jean Henriquez, Andrew Magno, Enoli Paredes, Albert Suárez, Eric Torres, Josh Walker, Levi Wells, Cameron Weston
CATCHERS: 5
Five catchers received invitations, four of them developed internally. Top-30 prospects Ethan Anderson (No. 27) and Creed Willems (No. 30) headline the group. Anderson, a 2024 second-round pick, collected 77 hits and 14 doubles last season, while Willems posted his third consecutive 15-home-run campaign and set a career-high with 96 hits.
Silas Ardoin, the son of former Oriole Danny Ardoin, reached career-highs in doubles (16) and walks (60) last season. Maverick Handley made his MLB debut in 2025 and quickly became a fan favorite, while Sam Huff brings prior big league experience after spending time with the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants.
Invited catchers:
Ethan Anderson, Silas Ardoin, Maverick Handley, Sam Huff, Creed Willems
INFIELDERS: 6
Aron Estrada (No. 22) leads the infield group after a breakout season in which he posted an .813 OPS, tallied 112 hits and stole 34 bases. He will be joined by three players with recent MLB experience: José Barrero, Ryan Noda and Luis Vázquez, each looking to solidify depth roles this spring.
Invited infielders:
José Barrero, Payton Eeles, Aron Estrada, Ryan Noda, Willy Vásquez, Luis Vázquez
OUTFIELDERS: 4
Top prospect Enrique Bradfield Jr. (No. 4) headlines the outfield contingent. Despite injuries limiting him to 76 games, Bradfield Jr. recorded 64 hits, 15 doubles and 36 stolen bases last season. A healthy spring could put him on the major league radar later this season.
Jud Fabian remains a power-and-patience profile after drawing 75 walks despite a down year at the plate. Jhonkensy Noel, known as “Big Christmas,” adds energy and raw power, while Will Robertson looks to rebound after a difficult 2025 split between Toronto and Chicago.
Invited outfielders:
Enrique Bradfield Jr., Jud Fabian, Jhonkensy Noel, Will Robertson
Pitchers and catchers report on February 11, with position players following on February 16. Baltimore opens its spring slate on February 20 against the New York Yankees, with the game airing on MASN.
