According to multiple industry sources, the Baltimore Orioles are in agreement on a minor league deal with free agent right-hander Enoli Paredes.

Paredes, 30, originally signed with the Houston Astros as an amateur back in 2016, when Orioles president of baseball operations and acting GM Mike Elias was the scouting director in Space City.

In parts of four big league seasons between the Astros, Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs, Paredes has totaled 54 innings with a respectable 3.00 ERA and 53 strikeouts. What has plagued the hard-throwing righty has been walks, posting 41 of them in his 55 games played in the majors.

In 2025, Paredes spent the season with Atlanta’s Triple-A affiliate in Gwinnett, where he tossed 57.1 frames with a 4.40 ERA, a 27.6% strikeout rate and an 11.5% walk rate. The Dominican native posted sub-3.00 ERAs in Triple-A in both 2024 and 2022, but he has consistently logged high walk rates at both the Triple-A and big league levels.

Paredes will be in major league camp as non-roster invitee next spring and will look to secure a role in a bullpen that has holes needed to be filled.
