It’s hard to believe, but we have hit the final edition of O’s Prospects of the Week for the 2025 season.
It was a final week to remember, as we saw walk-offs, rehab assignments and final homestands for affiliates for this year’s campaign.
As the minor league season begins to wrap up, let’s discuss the top prospects who stood out most.
Triple-A Norfolk: Jordyn Adams – OF / Cameron Weston – RHP
There wasn’t much explosive offense from the Tides this week. With Samuel Basallo, Dylan Beavers and Jeremiah Jackson enjoying success with the Orioles, Jordyn Adams hit .238 for the week, but it was a loud series for the young outfielder.
Adams hit two home runs, while collecting five RBIs, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Adams, like JJ, is another former Los Angeles Angels early-round pick (first-round, No. 17 pick) finding some success in the Orioles’ minor league system.
For the year, the 25-year-old is slashing .208/.290/.363/.653 with nine home runs and 41 RBIs. He has scored 41 runs and stolen 14 bases while also hitting seven home runs and three triples. Adams did hit .261 and .267 the previous two seasons in the minors, so despite the down season, he has shown he is capable of better hitting with regular playing time.
A difficult season saw frustrations disappear, at least for the start of September for right-hander Cameron Weston.
Pitching a season-high seven innings, Weston would guide the Tides to victory while picking up his fourth win of the season. The University of Michigan product would allow just one run on three hits and struck out six batters, the third straight game hitting that mark. It was also the sixth time this season in 24 starts that Weston would complete at least six innings of work.
Weston now has five quality starts on the season, compiling a 4-8 record in 27 games (24 starts). He has pitched a career-high 125.2 innings, striking out 127 batters while walking 65. He holds a 1.47 WHIP and 4.80 ERA for the year.
Double-A Chesapeake: Austin Overn – OF / Juaron Watts-Brown – RHP
In the final homestand for the Chesapeake Baysox, the team won their only homestand of the season led by the bat of outfielder Austin Overn, who did almost everything offensively.
In five games played this past week, Overn slashed .316/.350/.474 with an .824 OPS. He collected six hits, knocked in four RBIs and stole four bases, including home plate.
Overn has been one of the top outfield prospects in the O’s organization this season. In 109 games between Aberdeen and Chesapeake, the California native has 96 total hits, including 12 doubles, four triples and 12 home runs. The highlight of Overn this year, though, is having 61 stolen bases while only being caught eight times.
On the pitching side of things, a trade deadline acquisition showed his true potential on the mound.
Juaron Watts-Brown went 6.2 innings of one-hit shutout baseball while walking two and striking out eight.
Watts-Brown, as an Orioles prospect, has had ups and downs this season. He has a 4.31 ERA in six starts and 31.1 innings with the Baysox, but he owns a 3.74 ERA for the whole season in 120.1 innings of work. He has struck out 154 batters and is holding opponents to a .199 batting average.
High-A Aberdeen: Anderson De Los Santos – INF / Jack Crowder – RHP
What a series for Anderson De Los Santos, as he absolutely tore it up offensively.
In the five games he played this past week, the 21-year-old slashed .400/.609/.533 with a 1.142 OPS and tallied six hits, knocked in two RBIs and had an incredible seven walks.
De Los Santos played his entire 2025 season with the IronBirds, and while it was an up year for him, he played 103 games, slashing .230/.360/.361 with a .721 OPS. The Dominican native collected 72 hits, 15 doubles, four triples, six home runs, and 44 RBIs.
Jack Crowder was stellar on the mound in relief for the IronBirds, tossing four shutout innings, giving up just one hit and striking out five.
Crowder struggled in his first full season in the minor leagues. The Illinois product posted a 5.40 ERA in 75 innings. One thing about him, though, was that he went 4-for-4 in saves and struck out 83 batters to 27 walks.
Low-A Delmarva: Wehiwa Aloy – INF / Carson Dorsey – RHP
It was another great series by 2025 draft pick Wehiwa Aloy in Delmarva.
The Hawaiian infielder slashed .316/.350/.579 with a .929 OPS in the final Shorebirds series, collecting six hits, three doubles, a triple and four RBIs.
Aloy might have just 20 minor league games under his belt, but he has already shown his potential and how great of a hitter he is and will become. The former Golden Spikes winner posted a .288 batting average, a .856 OPS, 23 total hits, with 11 of them going for extra bases, and 14 RBIs this season.
Carson Dorsey was electric in his lone start this past week, tossing five shutout innings, giving up three hits, walking two and striking out seven.
Dorsey carried a 4.06 ERA in 44.1 innings pitched this season, held batters to a .211 batting average and struck out 58 to 20 walks. The 22-year-old is one of the most underrated prospects heading into the 2026 season after what he showed to end his 2025 campaign.
