A key part of being a big leaguer is partaking or creating and promoting charitable ventures that mean something to you and helping those less fortunate.
Many times, players and teams are the ones getting the recognition and news write ups. But at times, the spouses of the players and/or front office members are involved in various endeavors as well.
Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday already comes in with a family name to live up to and follow. As the future face of the Baltimore franchise, almost all his movements are watched or caught on camera.
This story, though, is not just about Jackson Holliday but about his wife Chloe and their charitable ventures.
Chloe recently took part in ‘Dressember’ to show and express her support for the International Justice Mission (IMJ).
‘Dressember’ is a movement carried out by the IJM to raise awareness about human trafficking and violence all around the world. She has utilized social media to help spread her message and raise awareness.
Partaking in the event, Chloe and Jackson will dress up every day of the month while educating family and friends about human trafficking, forced labor and violence. They are encouraging those in the community to donate to the initiative to help end violence and lift those out of poverty.
Last December, Jackson and Chloe traveled to the Dominican Republic to raise awareness about social stigmas that exist in society in today’s world.
Helping serve underprivileged youth and play some baseball with the kids in the Dominican Republic, Jackson has expressed his desire to use baseball as a way to honor his faith and beliefs.
“Faith plays a major role in baseball and my life. I want to honor the Lord in everything that I do, and I try to represent that on the field, through my actions and how I carry myself on and off the field,” Jackson expressed after his trip.
The couple are high school sweethearts who got engaged in December of 2022 and married in January of 2024.
Jackson, who recently turned 21 on the fourth of this month, will be looking to make as big an impact on the field next season.
The Hollidays partake in various charities and look to make a difference not only as part of the Orioles but across the globe.
