This match-up will feature a former fan favorite in Manny Machado, as his San Diego Padres pay a visit to Baltimore.
The Orioles really hope to turn things around this three-game set following a disappointing series loss to the Marlins. On the flip side, the Padres come in riding a high, resulting in Dylan Cease’s no-hitter on Thursday.
The rotation is set for this series and is as follows: Game one will feature Grayson Rodriguez (12-4, 3.83 ERA) vs. Adam Mazur (1-3, 7.84 ERA). Game two will be Dean Kremer (4-6, 4.43 ERA) against Michael King (8-6, 3.28 ERA) and a pair of “to be determined” starters are listed for game three.

This series kicks off with some news for the Orioles. On early Friday afternoon, it was announced that the O’s have traded Austin Hays to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for reliever Seranthony Domínguez and outfielder Cristian Pache.

Recently, Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman and Jordan Westburg simply haven’t been getting it done at the plate. When those three are a large part of your runs scored, it makes sense that those runs are harder to come by when those three aren’t getting on base like they usually do.
These three games will come down in large part to how those three can bounce back. If Henderson can start things off early and set the table for Rutschman and Westburg, the offense can find a resurgence in this series.
GAME 1 STARTING LINEUP
This series kicks off Friday evening at 7:05 p.m. EST on MASN or on MLB Network if you are out of market.
