For Kjerstad, his chance to shine has finally come, and he is making the most of the opportunity.

For June, Kjerstad would play in 15 games and would hit .429 for the month. Taking Low-A ball by storm, he would earn a promotion to Aberdeen.

Kjerstad would collect 24 hits for the month, including six doubles and a home run. He would also collect 11 RBIs, carrying an OPS of 1.089.

We congratulate Peter Van Loon and Heston Kjerstad on their honors and their progress as they grow within our system.

Will they repeat as winners come July, or will we have new Baby Birds making a name for themselves? We will find out in a few short weeks.
