The Norfolk Tides had a 5-1 week to position themselves as one of the top teams in the International League.
Along the way various players had a part in the strong showing for Buck Britton’s Triple-A squad, and that includes a very intriguing right-handed pitcher.
The International League has officially named righty Kyle Bradish as their Pitcher of the Week. Bradish, the Orioles’ No. 10 prospect, was acquired in the Dylan Bundy trade with the Los Angeles Angels in 2019.
Bradish made two appearances this week for the Tides. In those two starts, Bradish pitched a combined nine innings, allowing just one run and striking out nine. Opponents went a combined 4-for-31 (.129), while the 25-year-old held a WHIP of 0.677 and a K/9 of nine.
Bradish showed a great command of the strike zone throwing 64% of his pitches for strikes. Thhe young righty had only two walks in his outings for the Tides.
We at The Baltimore Battery would like to congratulate Kyle Bradish on his achievement, as we look forward to many more strong showings on his way to the show, which could be sooner than later.
