The Baby Birds are back, and baseball on Delmarva is ready to kick off Friday, April 8, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium against the Fredericksburg Nationals.
With Opening Day looming, the Delmarva Shorebirds 2022 Opening Day roster has officially been announced, and new prospects are filling it from top to bottom.
New Delmarva Manager Felipe Rojas Alou Jr. will lead our young birds into the season, as he takes his turn managing the organization.
Nine Shorebirds return from the 2021 Delmarva roster, with right-hander Connor Grady leading the way, as well shortstop Darell Hernaiz. Hernaiz and right-hander Thomas Girard were on the 2021 Shorebirds for the entirety of the season.
Returning to the roster this season were late and mid-season call-ups Daniel Federman, Daniel Lloyd, Preston Price, Davis Tavarez and Mishael Deson.
