It was an exciting day for not only Maryland’s Eastern Shore but for Birdland fans all across the state and country, as the Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds have officially announced their promotional schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.
It’s going to be, yet again, another exciting season of Shorebirds baseball, as this year’s promotional schedule will be highlighted by 15 firework shows, four bobblehead giveaways, special theme nights and a new Maryland Pride-themed giveaway series.
The promotions start Friday, April 8, as Delmarva opens the season at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium with an Orange T-Shirt and Schedule Magnet giveaway, with the first of the 15 fireworks shows the following night, Saturday, April 9.
Four bobbleheads will be given out this season, two of which have already been announced; a Sherrif Mike Lewis bobblehead and a Maryland Pride Adley Rutschman bobblehead.
Some of the special theme nights at the ballpark this year include Perdue Farmers Night, Star Wars Night with a special Star Wars Funko Pop giveaway, Marvel’s Defenders of the Diamond Night with a special guest appearance by Spider-Man, Margaritaville Night and every Eastern Shore resident’s favorite, Scrapple Night.
Two variations of the ever-famous Birdland Hawaiian Shirt will be handed out to fans this season, so mark your calendars for Saturday, July, 9, and Thursday, August 25.
