Orioles vs. Red Sox: Game 3 Lineups

Birdland couldn’t have asked for a better start to the 2021 season than an opening series win against the Boston Red Sox. And that’s exactly what the O’s have done.

Yes, the Birds are 2-0 on the young season and are guaranteed nothing less than a series win today, as they wrap up this three-game set against the Red Sox.

The pitching is what has kept the O’s on top so far this year, as Matt Harvey looked sharp in his Orioles debut. Adam Plutko, Dillon Tate, and César Valdez came out of the pen in game two and didn’t allow a single run in relief.

Today, the goal is to sweep. Brandon Hyde will send Maryland native Bruce Zimmermann to the mound to try and do just that. Boston will counter with Garrett Richards.

In other news, reliever Shawn Armstrong was taken off the paternity list and placed on the 10-day injured list due to safety protocols with coming back to the team.
