Orioles vs. Pirates: Lineups & Notes 3/28/21

For the final time this year, the O’s will play the Pittsburgh Pirates in Grapefruit League action from beautiful Ed Smith Stadium.

In yesterday’s ballgame against the Braves, it was a rough one for the team. John Means gave up five earned runs, but he was dealing with some fatigue after getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Adley Rutschman tallied an RBI double, while Tyler Nevin had two hits on the night, including a three-run homer.

Looking forward to today’s game, Matt Harvey will make his final spring training start before he takes the mound in game two against the Boston Red Sox in the Opening Series. The Buccos will send their young ace, Mitch Keller.

In other news, Anthony Santander has been dealing with a minor oblique issue that has kept him out of the lineup since Tuesday. Brandon Hyde doesn’t want to push Tony with Opening Day so close, but Santander is taking at-bats on the practice fields.

Here are today’s starting lineups:

1. Adam Frazier 2B
2. Brian Goodwin LF
3. Jacob Stallings C
