Orioles announce revised ST schedule, non-roster invitees, & camp reserves

The Orioles, along with 29 other clubs, are just one week away from the start of spring training, and earlier today the club announced its revised Grapefruit League schedule and non-roster invitees.

The original Grapefruit League schedule has been adjusted to minimize travel distance. The Orioles will play 14 home games, beginning Sunday, Feb. 28, against the Pirates. There will be 10 afternoon games at Ed Smith Stadium, with first pitch at 1:05 p.m., and four night games starting at 6:05 p.m.

The Birds will be playing eight teams this spring, all of which are on the west coast of Florida. Those teams are the Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Tigers, Twins, Braves, Phillies, and Pirates.

Fans are being allowed to attend exhibition games at Ed Smith Stadium at about 25 percent capacity. A total of 1,833 tickets will be available for each game. The club is still working on policies for regular season games at Camden Yards. Birdland Memberships for spring training will also be available for fans.
