Chris Holt takes over pitching coach position

With Doug Brocail out of Baltimore, one of the big holes to be filled was the pitching coach position. Many fans wondered if the Elias crew would decide to look outside of the organization. However, it is clear Elias knew exactly who he wanted for the job.

Chris Holt was already the director of pitching for the Orioles farm system, and spent a lot of time at the Alternate Training Site in Bowie during this unprecedented 2020 season.

Holt was a major league pitcher in the late 90s and early 2000s for the Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, and Yokohama BayStars in Japan.

With a bunch of young arms to play with, Holt will have a big job in refining the Orioles pitching staff, a staff that made huge strides in 2020 compared to the year before.
