Orioles lineup vs. Red Sox: 9/24/20

José Iglesias returns to the Baltimore lineup tonight, as the Orioles look to avoid a three-game sweep against Boston at Fenway Park. The O’s lost game one 8-3 and game two 9-1.

Iglesias missed time with a wrist injury but will return to the lineup tonight; Brandon Hyde will be cautious with Iglesias and play him at DH.

After a couple games at first base, rookie Ryan Mountcastle returns to left field, while Pat Valaika plays first tonight. Alex Cobb (1-5) is on the mound against Martín Pérez (3-4). Cobb has lost all three of his last three starts and will look to bounce back tonight.

Here is Baltimore’s game three lineup:

  4. Pedro Severino C
  5. Austin Hays RF
  6. Pat Valaika 1B
  7. Rio Ruiz 3B

  9. Cedric Mullins CF

The Orioles are 3-7 in their last 10 games and stand only a game above the Red Sox for last place in the AL East. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be aired on MASN2 and the Orioles Radio Network.
