Orioles lineup vs. Braves: 9/14/20

Coming off a brutal four-game sweep at the hands of the New York Yankees, Baltimore returns home for three games against the Atlanta Braves. With a 20-26 record, the Orioles are running out of time to make it back into the playoff race.

Jorge López (1-0) takes the mound for Baltimore tonight, as he faces off against Atlanta’s Touki Toussaint (0-1). Both pitchers have started less than five games this season, so they will both be relying on run support to have a quality outing.

The O’s made several big transactions today, inserting Austin Hays back into the lineup and placing Chris Davis on the 10-day injured list. Hays will start in left field tonight, most likely due to the recent success of Cedric Mullins in center field this year. Additionally, Ryan Mountcastle will take a day off from playing left field and start at DH tonight.

Here is Baltimore’s lineup as the home stand begins:

  1. Cedric Mullins CF
  2. José Iglesias SS
  3. DJ Stewart RF
  4. Ryan Mountcastle DH
  5. Rio Ruiz 3B
  6. Renato Nùñez 1B
  7. Chance Sisco C
  8. Austin Hays LF
  9. Andrew Velazquez 2B

Tonight’s game will be aired on MASN at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy the game, and stay tuned to The Baltimore Battery for further updates on tonight’s game!
