We are less than one month away from spring training, and we have been given the 2026 preseason top 100 prospects list via MLB Pipeline.
The Baltimore Orioles have three representatives on the first edition of this list, including a player making his first appearance on the top 100.
Let’s see which O’s prospects cracked the top 100 to begin 2026.
No. 93: Nate George – OF
Making his first and definitely not his final appearance on the top 100 list is outfielder Nate George.
George just finished his first professional season and has flown through the O’s farm system to begin his career. The 19-year-old played in 87 games between rookie ball, Low-A Delmarva and High-A Aberdeen and slashed .337/.413/.483 with a .896 OPS.
George totaled 109 hits, 14 doubles, nine triples and five home runs last season, walking 38 times and stealing 50 bags.
The Joliet, IL, native earned two accolades this season as well, as he was named the FCL Player of the Week in May and was recognized by the organization as its 2025 Minor League Player of the Year.
No. 69: Dylan Beavers – OF
For the first time in his career, outfielder Dylan Beavers was named to the preseason top 100 prospects list, but he is no stranger to the top 100 list overall.
Beavers finished the 2025 season ranked 83rd on the list. He moves up 14 spots into the 69th position to begin 2026.
Beavers started the 2025 season in Triple-A Norfolk, playing 94 games with the Tides, in which he slashed .304/.420/.515 with a .935 OPS. The Cal product tallied 104 hits, 14 doubles, two triples and 18 home runs during his time with Norfolk.
Beavers would make his major league debut on August 16, against the Houston Astros. In his small taste of the big leagues, Beavers posted a .775 OPS, 25 hits, four home runs and 14 RBIs in 35 games with the Birds.
No. 8: Samuel Basallo – C/1B
Samuel Basallo is the veteran of this group, as this is the third straight preseason list that Basallo has appeared on in his young professional career.
Basallo was ranked 13th to start the season last year and ranked as high as seventh when 2025 came to a close. This year, Basallo drops just one spot.
Like Beavers, the 21-year-old backstop started the 2025 season with Triple-A Norfolk, slashing .270/.377/.589 with a .966 OPS in 76 games. He collected 73 hits, 17 doubles and 23 home runs with the Tides and would go on to make his major league debut four days after his 21st birthday on August 17.
In his brief stint with the big league club, Basallo posted a .165 batting average but collected 18 hits and four home runs, including his first career walk-off homer.
