Thursday, January 8, 2026, was a big day for the MLB offseason.

This date was significant because it was the deadline for teams and arbitration-eligible players to either settle on their 2026 contracts or file salary numbers for a possible arbitration hearing.

The Baltimore Orioles had 11 players who are eligible for arbitration with unsettled contracts heading into this day. There were agreements with nine of the 11 players eligible.

The numbers for each deal are as follows:

  • Taylor Ward – OF: $12.175 million
  • Gunnar Henderson – INF: $8.5 million
  • Adley Rutschman – C: $7.25 million
  • Ryan Mountcastle – 1B: $6.787 million, with a $7.5 million club option for 2027
  • Trevor Rogers – LHP: $6.2 million
  • Dean Kremer – RHP: $5.75 million
  • Shane Baz – RHP: $3.5 million
  • Tyler Wells – RHP: $2.445 million
  • Yennier Cano – RHP: $1.6 million

The Orioles did not reach agreements with right-hander Kyle Bradish and left-hander Keegan Akin ahead of the filing deadline. They will exchange figures and could head to an arbitration hearing, although negotiations can continue.

Bradish filed at $3.55 million; the Orioles filed at $2.875 million. Akin filed at $3.375 million; the Orioles filed at $2.975 million.

For Ward, Mountcastle (unless his club option is picked up), Rogers and Akin, this is the final year of arbitration before hitting free agency.

Rutschman, Kremer and Wells will remain under team control in 2027, and Bradish, Henderson, Cano and Baz are under team control through 2028.
