It’s time for the final O’s Prospects of the Month article, and it was a breath of fresh air to see some of the organization’s top prospects shine in a down season.
This month, we saw a lot of movement throughout the organization between prospects, especially towards the end of the week. With September roster expansion here, it’s expected to see a flurry of promotions on the farm.
Let’s dive in to see which top prospects stood out most for each O’s affiliate in the month of August.
Low-A Delmarva: Carson Dorsey – LHP

Dorsey, 22, carried a 2.25 ERA in 24 innings of work with the Shorebirds, giving up just six earned runs, walking seven batters and striking out 31 in August.
Dorsey’s first full season of professional baseball has been sketchy but promising. The Florida State product has a 4.58 ERA in 11 games, 10 of them being starts, and has tossed 39.1 innings, giving up 20 earned runs, walking 18 and striking out 51.
