What a special week for the Baltimore Orioles farm system and its top prospects.

We saw the 2025 MLB Draft prospects make their professional debuts in Low-A Delmarva and also saw two of the O’s top three prospects make their major league debuts.

With that being said, let’s see which players stood out most in this edition of O’s Prospects of the Week.

Triple-A Norfolk: Reed Trimble – OF / Trey Gibson – RHP

With Jeremiah Jackson, Dylan Beavers and Samuel Basallo being promoted, there is an opportunity for someone else to step up and lead the way for the Tides.

Outfielder Reed Trimble heard that call and did so to the tune of a .353 batting average with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs this past week. He added five runs, five walks and a stolen base, as he played in five of six games against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

For the season, Trimble is slashing .235/.323/.443/.766 through four levels of minor league ball. The 25-year-old has totaled 11 home runs, 33 RBIs, 45 runs and 54 total hits through 65 games. He has walked 26 times and has stolen 13 bases while playing all three outfield positions, totaling five assists.

A game that saw the bullpen saved is one that Trey Gibson started, and his performance on the mound turned into an International League Pitcher of the Week honor.

In a 4-1 Tides victory, Gibson would pitch five shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out six batters. More impressive is the fact that Gibson threw only 53 pitches (40 strikes) during the outing.

This was Gibson’s first start at the Triple-A level, but it was the third level he had appeared this season. He has totaled a 5-4 record across 20 games (19 starts).

The 23-year-old righty has posted a 2.91 ERA and 0.98 WHIP while holding opponents to a .178 average this season. The O’s No. 12 overall prospect has struck out 141 batters in 96 innings of work while walking just 32 and giving up only eight long balls.

Double-A Chesapeake: Creed Willems – C / Michael Forret – RHP

It was another week of Creed Willems showing his true potential as a prospect.

Willems slashed .375/.444/.792 with a 1.236 OPS, collecting nine hits, a double, three home runs and nine RBIs.

The 22-year-old backstop has a .779 OPS and is currently batting .255 in 90 Baysox games this season. He has tallied 83 hits, 18 doubles, 13 home runs and 48 RBIs, as a promotion to Triple-A is imminent.

Michael Forret made his Double-A debut this weekend, and he did not disappoint, tossing six innings of shutout baseball while striking out seven.

Forret has been the most consistent pitcher all season in the Orioles system. The O’s No. 11 overall prospect currently owns a 1.37 ERA in 65.2 innings of work, has walked 17 batters and struck out 83.

It has been a solid season for the 21-year-old right-hander, who was a 14th-round pick back in 2023.

High-A Aberdeen: Ethan Anderson – C / Luis De León – LHP

Our Aberdeen IronBirds Offensive Player of the Week this time around is a fresh face.

Catcher Ethan Anderson takes home the honor for this past series against the Hudson Valley Renegades just before his promotion to Double-A Chesapeake.

In four games played this series, Anderson hit safely in all four, totaling six hits in 13 at-bats. Along with those six knocks, Anderson drew four walks and only struck out once.

On the mound, Luis De León had one heck of an outing that started a combined no-hitter for the IronBirds.

In his five innings, De León gave up no hits and three walks along with nine strikeouts. The 22-year-old Dominican native has a 3.51 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in his 16 games pitched between Low-A Delmarva and Aberdeen.

This performance, which earned De León South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week honors, kept the momentum going for the rest out the evening for the IronBirds, which totaled another four hitless innings following the lefty’s start for the team’s third combined no-hitter in the last four seasons.

Low-A Delmarva: Wehiwa Aloy – INF / Chase Allsup – RHP

What a first week of professional ball for the 31st overall pick.

Aloy, the O’s No. 5 overall prospect, slashed .294/.368/.471 with a .833 OPS, collecting five hits, three doubles and three RBIs against the Lynchburg Hillcats.

The 21-year-old Hawaiian product also showed off his 2025 Golden Spikes Award defense at the shortstop position.

On the pitching side of things, Chase Allsup takes home the honor once more, tossing five shutout innings, striking out eight and holding batters to a .067 batting average.

Allsup is continuing to try and right the ship of his early season struggles. He currently has a 5.73 ERA in 22 games this season and does have 90 strikeouts to his name, which is a positive for the former fourth-round pick.
