The month of July has come and gone, and that means it’s time for another edition of O’s Prospects of the Month.

We say it nearly every month, but the Orioles farm system really showed out in July. Plus, there was a crop of new talent that flooded the organization due to the MLB Draft and trades made prior to the deadline.

With that being said, let’s highlight which top prospects stood out the most for each affiliate in the month of July.

Low-A Delmarva: Michael Caldon – RHP

Michael Caldon decided to show what he was made of on the mound this past month, as he posted a 1.64 ERA in a team-leading 22 innings.

The 22-year-old also tied the team-high with 29 strikeouts and held batters to an impressive .192 batting average.

The former 18th-round pick in 2024 has been phenomenal this season for Delmarva. In 17 games, Caldon has compiled a 2.33 ERA in 58 innings of work and has 63 strikeouts, 15 earned runs and 28 walks to his name this season.

High-A Aberdeen: Aron Estrada – INF

Aron Estrada has been arguably the best hitter on the IronBirds this season, and that didn’t change in the month of July.

Estrada led Aberdeen batters in OPS (.886), batting average (.300), OBP (.403) and slugging (.483) this past month. This was good enough to earn him a promotion to Double-A Chesapeake.

The 20-year-old is hitting .288, has an .822 OPS with 90 hits, 14 doubles and 43 RBIs on the season between High-A and Double-A. He has also been a speedster, stealing 31 bases on the year.

Double-A Chesapeake: Creed Willems – C/1B

In any other month, Creed Willems would be the overall best prospect.

The 22-year-old backstop hit an incredible .351 while also having a team-high .957 OPS in July. Willems collected 20 hits and 10 RBIs and struck out just seven times in 57 at-bats.

Willems has looked stellar this season at the Double-A level. He has a .766 OPS, 71 total hits, 17 doubles and 10 home runs on the season, and we’ll see if he gets the promotion to Triple-A Norfolk sometime in the near future.

Triple-A Norfolk: Dylan Beavers – OF

Dylan Beavers was an on-base machine in the month of July, compiling a .446 OBP, including 20 walks, making him the first Tides player since Jackson Holliday in May of 2024 to have 20 walks in a season.

Beavers also collected six home runs, 23 total hits and 13 RBIs in July. He is on the verge of making his big league debut very soon.

The California product is batting .307, has a .941 OPS and has 16 home runs this season. The 23-year-old has also shown off his speed, stealing 22 bases and ripping 13 doubles.

Overall Prospect: Jeremiah Jackson – INF

Jeremiah Jackson played 18 games with the Tides in July and earned an incredible .394 batting average.

Jackson had 28 hits on the month, which, while impressive enough, he also collected seven doubles, had a 1.033 OPS and slugged .620.

Jackson has been a star this year with his bat, hitting .313 with an .880 OPS this year. The 25-year-old collected 106 hits, 31 doubles and 15 home runs on the farm and performed so well that he earned a call-up to the big leagues.
