Another week is in the books for Minor League Baseball.
We saw a lot this week down on the Orioles farm, including rehab stints, monster home runs and nail-biting games.
Let’s talk about which O’s top prospects showed out this week because their parent club has had little to look forward to.
Triple-A Norfolk: Dylan Beavers – OF / Andrew Kittredge – RHP
Dylan Beavers has quietly been one of the best draft picks by the Orioles organization with little recognition. But when you’re playing in an organization that has Colton Cowser, Enrique Bradfield Jr. and Vance Honeycutt, among others, it’s easy to get overlooked.
Beavers, the O’s No. 6 prospect, had himself a big week for the Tides, collecting eight hits in 17 at-bats (.471 avg), including a four-hit game on the 14th. The Cal product scored three times while collecting three doubles, two RBIs and a walk during the series.
For the year, Beavers is slashing .303/.397/.421/.818 with 44 hits across 39 games, including eight doubles and three home runs. He has scored 31 runs, walked 24 times and has stolen 15 bases this year.
The 23-year-old is batting a .376 BABIP and is seeing a career-high 4.2 pitches per at-bat, a strong number, especially as he has been batting leadoff.
A bullpen arm that was supposed to be a key piece for the big league club is working his way back up as he recovers from surgery to clean up his knee. Yes, we know he’s not a prospect.
Ahead of schedule, Andrew Kittredge appeared in three games this week, covering three innings. He allowed a base runner as he gave up no hits and only one walk while striking out three in his rehab outings.
Kittredge has appeared in five games without allowing a run on six hits across six innings with only one walk, striking out six.
Kittredge is ahead of schedule and could be rejoining the Orioles sooner rather than later. As of now, the Tides are benefiting from having the veteran pitch for the Triple-A club.
Double-A Chesapeake: Jeremiah Jackson – INF / Nestor German – RHP
Despite being bounced around different farm systems since 2018, Jeremiah Jackson is still considered a prospect, and he balled out this week against Akron.
The 25-year-old put together a .389/.400/.722 slash with a 1.122 OPS this week, collecting seven hits, three doubles, one home run and knocking in five.
Jackson has a .733 OPS for the season, with 35 total hits, 12 doubles, which leads the Baysox, and has 15 RBIs. The Antioch, TN, product was an offseason signing that has really panned out for the Baysox this season.
On the pitching side of things, Nestor German made his Double-A debut and did not disappoint.
The right-hander picked up the win, tossing 5.2 scoreless innings, giving up four hits and collecting six strikeouts.
German, the O’s No. 11 prospect, carries a 2.93 ERA in seven starts this year with 30.2 innings pitched and has given up just 10 earned runs, has walked 12 batters and has struck out 43.
High-A Aberdeen: Aron Estrada – INF / Trey Gibson – RHP
Aron Estrada has been absolutely unstoppable during the 2025 season, and that didn’t change in the IronBirds’ series against Hudson Valley.
Estrada, 20, slashed .300/.300/.550 with a .850 OPS for the week, tallying six hits, two triples, a double and driving in five.
Estrada’s season consists of a .305 average with 40 total hits, seven doubles and four triples. He has 13 RBIs thus far and hasn’t even hit his first home run of the year. The Venezuelan product is also 85% on steals, collecting 17 in 20 attempts.
On the pitching side, Trey Gibson continues his incredible May run by picking up a victory, throwing 5.1 innings of one-run ball and striking out 10 batters for the second time this month.
The 23-year-old Liberty product has really turned his season around. He finished the month of April with an 8.04 ERA, and his ERA is now down to a 5.46 in just 14 innings in May.
The young right-hander has 47 strikeouts to 13 walks and is holding batters to a .233 batting average in 2025.
Low-A Delmarva: Colin Tuft – C / Evan Yates – RHP
He might only have eight games under his belt this season between rookie ball and Delmarva, but Colin Tuft looks incredible to start the season.
In four games against Fredericksburg, Tuft slashed .461/.500/.615 with a 1.115 OPS. He collected six hits in 13 at-bats with two doubles and knocked in an RBI.
Tuft has a 1.024 OPS in just 21 at-bats, a great way to start the season, to say the least. The 22-year-old out of Tulane is also batting .381 and has three doubles, five walks and two RBIs to his name.
It was Evan Yates that dominated this week on the mound for the Shorebirds. Yates picked up the win while throwing 5.2 shutout innings and fanning seven batters, giving up just one hit.
Yates lowered his ERA from 6.32 after his first start in May all the way down to a 4.13. At one point this season, the 22-year-old righty had an ERA over 10.
The Cal State Fullerton product has really turned his season around, as he is holding batters to a .213 average and has 32 strikeouts in 24 innings of work.
