Spring training has been a blast to follow, but one thing that we have been looking forward to is the Spring Breakout Game.

For those who don’t remember or don’t know, the Spring Breakout Game was introduced in 2024 as a way to show off a bunch of the top prospects between all 30 MLB ball clubs.

Basically, it’s like a top prospects All-Star Game for each individual organization. It’s a great way for fans to learn about some of the premiere talent coming up through the minors.

With that being said, let’s discuss the 2025 Orioles Spring Breakout roster.

PITCHERS

The pitching staff is highlighted by top 10 prospects Michael Forret (#8), Keeler Morfe (#9) and Patrick Reilly (#10).

Joining them are top 30 prospect members Nestor German (#11), Luis De León (#14) and Cameron Weston (#17). The final pitcher is unranked right-hander Levi Wells.

This pitching staff is stacked with talent, to say the least. A combined 3.73 ERA in 494.1 innings of work as Orioles prospects will certainly play on this squad.

CATCHERS

The catchers have got to be one of my personal favorite parts of the roster.

Headlined by MLB’s 13th and top Orioles prospect Samuel Basallo and top organizational prospect Creed Willems (#12), the backstops will be a point of emphasis for O’s fans.

Ethan Anderson (#18) is going into his first full season of minor league play after being drafted last year. Anderson had a .799 OPS in 19 games between Low-A Delmarva and High-A Aberdeen.

The final catcher on the roster is Miguel Rodríguez, a 19-year-old who posted a .768 OPS in 68 games, including 19 games in Delmarva.

INFIELDERS

There are some very good names on the infielders list, including some that I have talked about quite a bit in previous articles.

Top 30 prospect members Griff O’Ferrall (#7), Aron Estrada (#16), Leandro Arias (#20) and DJ Layton (#30) maintain the middle of the infield, while Joshua Liranzo (#21) maintains the hot corner at third alongside former top 30 prospect Max Wagner.

The final infield prospect is shortstop Fernando Peguero, who I have been a fan of since he joined the organization back in 2022.

The only question with this infield is who will play first base. We will discuss this later.

OUTFIELDERS

While the catchers are my personal favorites of the team, there’s no doubt that the outfielders are the stars.

The entirety of the outfield roster is filled with top 30 prospects. Top 10 prospects in Enrique Bradfield Jr. (#3), Vance Honeycutt (#5) and Dylan Beavers (#6) will likely be the starters.

They will be relieved by Stiven Martinez (#13), Thomas Sosa (#22), Jud Fabian (#23), Jordan Sanchez (#25) and Austin Overn (#29).

PROJECTED LINEUP

Predicting the starting lineup for the game against the New York Yankees farm system on March 15 is difficult yet fun. This is how I think the lineup will stack up for the game:

  1. Enrique Bradfield Jr. CF
  2. Samuel Basallo C
  3. Vance Honeycutt LF
  4. Creed Willems 1B
  5. Dylan Beavers RF
  6. Aron Estrada 2B
  7. Leandro Arias 3B
  8. Stiven Martinez DH
  9. Griff O’Ferrall SS
  10. Michael Forret SP

Last year, the Orioles prospects had to face Paul Skenes, and it was an adventure, to say the least. Let’s see how this year’s game goes against the Yankees farm.
