We are a little over two months away from the 2025 baseball season, and the Baltimore Orioles have announced their minor leagues coaching staff.

TRIPLE-A NORFOLK TIDES

With the recent promotion of Buck Britton to the Orioles’ major league staff, the Tides decided on former big league catcher Tim Federowicz to be their 2025 manager. Federowicz is entering his third team as a skipper after managing the Tacoma Rainiers in 2022 and the Toledo Mud Hens in 2023.

Also returning is pitching coach Justin Ramsey and hitting coach Mike Montville. Former 2024 manager for the IronBirds, Felipe Rojas, joins as a fundamentals coach and former Baysox trainer Billy Facteau joins as a developmental coach.

DOUBLE-A CHESAPEAKE BAYSOX

The Baysox are not new to change this season after the recent rebrand. The staff will be led by second-year manager Roberto Mercado. Joining him as returning members of the staff are hitting coach Josh Bunselmeyer and fundamentals coach Chase Sebby.

Joining the Baysox staff is new pitching coach Jordie Henry, who was promoted from Aberdeen’s staff. Another newcomer is developmental coach Calvin Christiansen, who was promoted from the Delmarva Shorebirds.

HIGH-A ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS

The IronBirds lost manager Felipe Rojas to Norfolk, as mentioned earlier, and they decided to go to former development coach Ryan Goll as their next skipper. This is the first year that Goll is managing a minor league baseball team.

As for the rest of the staff, only hitting coach Zach Cole returned from the 2024 staff. The IronBirds have a crop of newcomers, such as pitching coach Jeremy Hileman and development coach Adonis Smith. The final piece is former Delmarva coach Daniel Fajardo, who will be a fundamentals coach.

LOW-A DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS

Collin Woody returns for his second season as Shorebirds manager. Also returning is hitting coach Christian Poulsen.

As for the rest of the staff, former rookie ball development coach Casey Day has been named pitching coach. Luis Silverio joins the organization for the first time as a fundamentals coach, and Casey Buckley receives a promotion as a developmental coach.

As for the rookie ball teams, Christian Frias returns as the manager of the O’s FCL squad. For the DSL teams, Chris Madera and Elbis Morel have been named the managers.

Matt Blood is entering his second season as vice president of player development and domestic scouting and his sixth in the Orioles organization. Kent Qualls returns for his 13th season as director of minor league operations.

Director of player development Anthony Villa enters his second year in the role and sixth in the organization. Forrest Herrmann was promoted to director of pitching development.
