Day one of the 2023 MLB Draft for the Orioles was a success, but they still have two more days left to select the future stars of the organization.

Day two consisted of nine picks overall in rounds 3-11. We’re going to give you a basic rundown of each player selected.

Let’s see how the day went for the Orioles in the draft.

3rd Round, 86th Overall Pick: Kiefer Lord – RHP – Washington

Lord was a junior at Washington this past season. In 15 games, he went 6-5 with a 6.19 ERA in 75.2 innings pitched. He gave up 86 hits, 52 earned runs, walked 17 batters and struck out 78.

Lord was a two-time PAC-12 Pitcher of the Week in 2023 and had a 10-strikeout performance against Stanford. Welcome to Birdland, Kiefer Lord!

3rd Round, 100th Overall: Tavian Josenberger – OF – Arkansas

Josenberger spent just one season at Arkansas after transferring from Kansas. Joseberger’s collegiate career consisted of amazing fielding and average hitting.

Josenberger had a .293 average during his college career and a .286 average in 2023. He had a career-high 10 home runs in 2023 and stole 13 bases and 35 bases in his college career. Welcome to Birdland, Tavian Josenberger!

4th Round, 118th Overall: Levi Wells – RHP – Texas State

Wells just finished his junior year at Texas State, and he had a little bit of a down year. In 2023, he pitched in 14 games and went 8-4 with a 5.07 ERA in 80.2 innings pitched. He gave up 78 hits, 45 earned runs, walked 30 and struck out 98.

He also had a 1.339 WHIP and a K/9 of 10.9. Wells has a nasty movement on his offspeed as stuff and has a fastball that sits in the low 90s. Welcome to Birdland, Levi Wells!

5th Round, 154th Overall: Jake Cunningham – OF – UNC Charlotte

Jake Cunningham just finished his junior year at UNC Charlotte, and he put on a show. In 2023, he compiled a .878 OPS in 49 games and hit 11 home runs. But in 2022, he had a 1.005 OPS in 57 games and hit 16 home runs with 16 stolen bases.

Cunningham’s collegiate career had a .274/.367/517 slash line with 29 home runs with 107 RBIS on 142 hits. Orioles GM Mike Elias really loves drafting collegr outfielders. Welcome to Birdland, Jake Cunningham!

6th Round, 181st Overall: Jacob Cravey – LHP – Samford University

Jacob Cravey just finished his junior season at Samford University, and it statistically was his best collegiate season. The lefty pitched in 17 games where he went 9-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 104.2 innings pitched. He gave up 83 hits, 36 earned runs, walked 40 batters and struck out 126.

Cravey was the SoCon Pitcher of the Year and made the All-SoCon First Team in 2023. Welcome to Birdland, Jacob Cravey!

7th Round, 211st Overall: Teddy Sharkey – RHP – Coastal Carolina

Teddy Sharkey just finished his junior year at Coastal Carolina and had the best year of his collegiate career. Sharkey pitched in 27 games out of the pen and went 7-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched. He gave up 39 hits, 16 earned runs, 18 walks and struck out 74.

Sharkey also had 11 saves and held batters to a .215 batting average. He is considered underrated by many scouts and is a possible steal of the draft. Welcome to Birdland, Teddy Sharkey!

8th Round, 241st Overall: Braxton Bragg – RHP – Dallas Baptist

Braxton Bragg just finished his junior year at Dallas Baptist University. After being a two-time Academic All-Big 10 player at Nebraska, Bragg went to DBU and lit it up on the mound as a starter.

In 16 games, Bragg went 9-2 with a 4.19 ERA in 86 innings pitched and gave up 94 hits, 40 earned runs, walked 17 and struck out 92. Elias continues the trend as the Orioles have made 10 picks, and it’s only been pitchers and outfielders. Welcome to Birdland, Braxton Bragg!

9th Round, 271st Overall: Zach Fruit – RHP – Troy University

Zach Fruit was a graduate student at Troy University and started his collegiate career at Lansing Community College before transferring to Eastern Michigan University in 2022, where he carried a 7.71 ERA in 67.2 innings.

In his time at Troy, Fruit appeared in 22 games and started eight of them. He had a 6-1 record with a 6.46 ERA in 69.2 innings pitched and gave up 69 hits, 50 earned runs, 45 walks and struck out 92. Welcome to Birdland, Zach Fruit!

10th Round, 301st Overall: Matthew Etzel – OF – Southern Miss

Matthew Etzel just finished his junior year at Southern Miss and originally started at Panola College, where he showed his speed by stealing 36 bases while having a .433 batting average his sophomore season.

Etzel’s 2023 season at Southern Miss was nothing short of great, as he slashed .316/.381/.470 with a .851 OPS in 66 games. He had 90 total hits, 17 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 51 RBIs. He also had 31 walks and stole 23 bases. Welcome to Birdland, Matthew Etzel!
